Oakley Continues Innovation

Wednesday, September 14th, 2011

Oakley has long made the kind of glasses I can’t afford and am not nearly cool enough to pull off. Maybe I’m being too hard on myself, but their frog skin collection is maybe their coolest line yet, and I’m excited about getting my hands on a pair of these.

What makes Oakley’s stand out, and what we love so much about them, is their bold and brazen fashion choices. They bring it up with a little bit of flavor. We here at ChivCulture.com love that about them and we applaud their efforts. Now, I’m certain if I muster up the cool factor to buy them, I’ll be glad i did. After all, I can continue with the same old, but what fun is that?

Canada Goes Big Time with Winter Jackets

Monday, September 12th, 2011

As much as it pains me to say, summer is about to be dead and buried, and now it’s time I think about winter. That means less heat and more snow. On the bright side, the cold front on the horizon gives everyone a reason to go out and buy the dopest jacket out there.

I’m taking my money to Alberta, Canada. No, I ain’t traveling that far, but I’m hitting up United Arrows. They happen to make the most stylish, sickest jackets on the planet. We’re talking Canadian goose jackets. ChivCulture.com is all about going international, and a jacket made by the best minds in the cold northwest seems to make a lot of sense to us. We’re confident they know how to get it right.

Carhartt Goes Casual

Friday, September 9th, 2011

Carhartt has made its reputation off of bringing you the thickest, fattest and warmest coats on  the market. These coats are made for real men braving the elements every morning. If you’re working at a bank, this isn’t the coat for you.

Well, Carhartt is now making workwear. Again, this ain’t for the lawyers in the group, but the technology makes it so you can wear it if you’re braving the elements or if you’re sweating it out inside a factory. We here at ChivCulture.com have been waiting for a top notch company like Carhartt to give us some sick clothes in that pale beige style they have made famous. We might outfit ourselves with a little Carhartt. But they can keep the shoes. We’ve got our own!

The Slick Bodega Back Strap

Tuesday, August 30th, 2011

The Gravis X Bodega A-Frame Bag is the hottest bag on the market. We here at ChivCulture.com are relentless about finding you the right kind of accessories to make sure you’re looking tip top at all times. Now, we could sell you a line or two about how it’s an investment at $200. While that will sound as phony, know that we recognize the price but more than think it’s worth it.

You get a corduroy outside, a snakeskin inside, a special padded compartment for the laptop and a bag that is guaranteed to outlast half of the imitators out there. And we should mention that this bag looks as hot as it sounds. It’s your 200 dollars but there are worse ways to spend it.

Fashion Gets Tied Up

Monday, August 15th, 2011

One of the underused statements of fashion in the urban world is the necktie. You know what the necktie is: it’s what hangs in your father’s closet. You steal one for parties and weddings, but it feels more like a noose than a measure of cool. It’s probably because your dad’s ties are so outdated that they’d only be cool with a time machine.

The necktie isn’t getting love because we think of it as a symbol of obligation and not a symbol of fashion, when, really, it’s quite the opposite. The necktie is one single piece of clothing that can completely transform you. It’s sophistication in your swagger, it’s the classy in your flashy.

Don’t look into you pop’s closet for the mark of how to sport a tie like the cool gentleman you are. Get out and start looking. Ties are just as high end as the kicks on your feet and can be just as costly. Yeah, you can find a tie off the bargain rack, or in the thirft store, but you can also break the bank on a tie that’s more about artistic expression than it is about being right for the wedding.

Forget the idea that ties are for suits, with the right button down you sport a tie that will make your whole outfit pop. The hottest names in fashion and in hip-hop know how to pull off a tie to perfection. Chivculture.com knows that being an urban gentleman is about taking your style to the next level. The necktie is a good first step.

We are proud to introduce the Chivalrous Culture July 4th look book.  The shoot features the fire hot Burgundy Hamachi and the cool Platinum Gray Hamachi.  glistening burgundy patent leather running from the toe-cap all the way to the heel of the shoe. If you are looking to catch some looks, the patent leather on the Burgundy Hamachi will certainly do the trick.  But if your style is more reserved and sophisticated you can wear cool Platinum Grey suede.  Whether you are wearing the Burgundy Patent’s or the Platinum Grey Suede, the gentleman in you will be wearing a piece of artwork at your feet.

This photo shoot was taken at the London Naval Yard in United Kingdom.  It is no accident that that shoot commemorating American independence takes place in United Kingdom.
